The Royal Albion Hotel in Brighton is a regency-style hotel built in 1826, and is traditionally decorated and furnished throughout. The hotel offers character and style in a premier position directly opposite Brighton Pier, so guests looking for a seafront hotel in Brighton will not be able to find one much closer to the sea than this.
Our Royal Albion Hotel is proud of its reputation as a family hotel. It can often be difficult to find hotels in Brighton which are suitable for families, which is why we make sure that everyone feels welcome staying with us. Our hospitality, not to mention our fabulous position, make the Royal Albion one of the most popular hotels in Brighton.
As a family hotel in Brighton, we offer quality food in a great location. Guests can eat in Jenny’s restaurant, which serves a delicious succulent menu, whilst enjoying views out over the sea. Alternatively, they can also sit and enjoy the sunset over Brighton Beach with an evening drink from the Pavillion Bar, which can seat up to 84 people.
Our 219 bedrooms are all en-suite and have TVs, hairdryers, trouser presses and tea and coffee making facilities. Most rooms also have an internal telephone. Many of the rooms have stunning sea views, whilst others have spa baths.
Please be aware between August 2022 and September 2023 there will be roadworks close to the royal albion hotel that may affect your journey.

dionysus4d3 StarWe booked this hotel for a joint family celebration a good four weeks in advance. We paid a deposit and had a verification E-mail to confirm the hotel had received it. when we arrived we were told that our rooms had been cancelled. It took well over half an hour for us to get the rooms we had paid for from a very unapologetic receptionist. The hotel itself is a bit tired and does need a bit of a face lift but our rooms were clean enough. Location was excellent though.Sunday 26th September 2021
Sarah Wolfe2 StarHotel with a nice lobby and lounge with great views in a convenient location. The room was filthy (fried chicken skins and mud on tables and floors) and had peeling paint and discolored walls. I had mixed experiences with the staff so I suppose it depends on who you get that day. Constant noise from the road and nightclub goers made it hard to sleep even at 4am. I did have a nice view out my window but the window itself was so dirty it was hard to enjoy.Sunday 11th July 2021

philip hare1 StarWorst experience ever long story short the staff do not welcome here they are happy to tell you to get lost if you ask to have the room a couple of hours early. 4 o’clock check-in is not acceptable definitely for a run down cheap hotel like this. They won’t you to check in later and check out earlier and I have the cheek to ask you for more money this hotel is lucky to get any money of their guests it is nasty and cheap and the staff are not welcoming.
If you want to have a good time in Brighton stay away from hotels like this.
But good luck.Monday 18th October 2021
keith lennon3 StarIt's pretty good for the money, the room is clean and a good size. The furniture is dated but who really cares, it's only a base to go to other places it's not like you're spending your days here.. The sink has got a bit of a crack in it and the bath is chipped but again for the price it's no biggie. Would say again...Tuesday 2nd November 2021
